Advert for Trustee Role

Barnes Cotton Districts Charity is looking for new Trustees to join their Board of Trustees.

This Charity provides a regular income for people in financial need who are suffering from severe or incurable illness / disability and for people convalescing from such illness, whilst continuing to live in their own home. The support may be of a financial nature or for help in providing a convalescent holiday. One-off grants may also be made, usually to assist in the purchase of specific items of equipment related to a disability. From time to time some grants are awarded to organisations working with individuals with severe or incurable illness.

We would particularly welcome people from a support worker background or a qualified financial and investment professional.

The time commitment would be 4 meetings per year, plus report reading and preparation time for each meeting of up to half a day per month. In addition Trustees work in sub groups for specific pieces of work and undertake visits from time to time to organisations they support.
