The Barnes Samaritan Charity

The purpose of the Barnes Samaritan Charity is to provide a regular income of £55 per month for people in financial need suffering from permanent or temporary illness, disease or disability. Grants are subject to the satisfactory completion of the appropriate Income and Medical Forms, supported by a ‘sponsor’ such as a Doctor or Social Worker confirming the medical and financial circumstances.

We typically review each applicant’s situation every 3 years (Medical and Financial forms to be completed again) but grants may be restricted to 1 or 2 years with review.

One-off grants may also be made in addition to regular income payments, usually to assist in the purchase of specific items of equipment related to a disability.
